Adaptive Payments is available for use with PayPal payments internationally in any country where PayPal is accepted, and it enables you to make split payments to multiple recipients, send chained payments to multiple recipients, one after the other, and make parallel payments to multiple recipients at the same time.
Simple payments enable a sender to send a single payment to a single receiver.
For example, your website can use an Adaptive Payments payment flow to transfer money resulting from a sale from your customer's PayPal account to your own account. This is the traditional kind of payment.
Parallel payments enable a sender to send a single payment to multiple receivers. Each payment request has a maximum of six receivers.
For example, your application might be a shopping cart that enables a buyer to pay for items from several merchants with one payment. Your shopping cart allocates the payment to merchants that actually provided the items. PayPal then deducts money from the sender's account and deposits it in the receivers' accounts.
Chained (Instant and Delayed) payments enable a sender to send a single payment to a primary receiver.
The primary receiver keeps part of the payment and pays secondary receivers the remainder. For example, your application could be an online travel agency that handles bookings for airfare, hotel reservations, and car rentals.
The sender sees only you as the primary receiver. You allocate the payment for your commission and the actual cost of services provided by other receivers. PayPal then deducts money from the sender's account and deposits it in both your account and the secondary receivers' accounts.
The Instant option pays the Vendor immediately upon PayPal approval, with the Delayed payment option payment to you is instant and you can delay Vendor payment by upto 90 days. Delayed payments are activated manually in the Order/Edit/PayVendor tab or via the Schedule Task.
Adaptive Payments - Refund:

With recurring payments, you can bill customers on a regular basis at intervals that you choose in the product specification. A custom Scheduled Task automates recurring billing according to your subscription schedule of payments.
Shipping and Tax:
Where the shopping cart contains products requiring shipping from multiple Vendors, the tax and shipping cost is optionally charged per Vendor basket and distributed with the payment.
The customer, store owner and each vendor automatically recieve a confirmation email after the PayPal payment process is successfull.
